Overview
Preston, MN has not adopted MN State Building Codes.
Despite the publication contained within Amer. Legal Pub. § 150.01 (A) (State Plumbing Code adopted by Reference), an email to PLRB staff member dated July 1, 2019, from Joe Hoffman (City Administrator and Utility General Manager, confirms the City of Preston has not adopted the MN State Building Codes; the city also does not conduct building or plumbing inspections.
Preston, MN does require a building and use permit under § 155.265 of the Land Use section of Preston, MN Muni Code. The permit is required for any building or structure bring constructed, erected, or altered in the city..
